Below is a list of commonly asked questions I receive from my customers. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have, please feel free to email me at:

Q: How long before I can expect my custom strap?
A: My build time is typically 6-8 weeks, however, please check on the individual product page for the most up to date build times.

Q: How long before I can expect my made to order strap?
A: Made to order straps are designed to be in stock, however, we do sell out from time to time. Please allow 4-8 weeks for made to order straps.

Q: What size strap should I order?
A: We have designed our standard straps to comfortably fit wrists from 6.5" (16.5cm) up to 8" (20.1cm). If your have a wrist within that range, you can order our standard size. If your wrist is under 6.5" or over 8" however, please send us an email, and we will gladly recommend the sizing for your strap.

Q: How do I measure my wrist?
A: You can use a flexible tailors tape, or just wrap a piece of string around your wrist and measure the length when laid straight out.

Q: What is the standard taper for your straps?

A: Tapers are typically a 2-4mm drop from the width of the strap at the lugs.

18mm straps taper to 16mm

19mm straps taper to 16mm

20mm straps taper to 16mm

22mm straps taper to 18mm

24mm straps taper to 20mm

26mm straps taper to 22mm

Q: Can you rush my strap order?
A: In short the answer is NO. I work very hard to provide excellent customer service, and pushing any order in front of another is just bad service, and unfair to patrons awaiting their purchase. I do my absolute best to get straps on your wrist by the deadline I provide (see above). The last thing I will do is jeopardize the quality of my product to meet a deadline. Trust me, they are well worth the wait.

Q: How much is shipping to countries outside of the US?
A: There are 3 basic options.

1. USPS First Class (~30$ US) which takes just about two weeks with no tracking number.
2. USPS Priority and Priority Express (~45-100+$ US) which takes 3-15 days and you will be provided a tracking number.
3. UPS/Fedex (~100+$) which takes 1-8 days and you will be provided a tracking number.

Please note: Shipping prices are subject to change due to fluctuation in international shipping rates.

Q: Can you make a strap to fit a deployant clasp?
A: Yes. For the best fit, I may ask you to send me the deployant clasp. This way I can cut and fit the strap to the exact specs of the clasp. It is not always required, but if I have the deployant in hand I can guarantee a perfect fit.

Q: How thick are your straps?
A: We make our straps approximately 2mm thick. A specific thickness can be made by request.

Q: Can you send me an image of the leather you are going to use for my strap before you make it?
A: No problem at all. I understand, you have a specific color/texture/condition in mind. You should see exactly what you will be getting. Please allow 3-4 days for me to send images of the leather I plan to use for your strap. We have also created a Gallery page for your reference.

Q: My strap is too wide for my watch, what now?
A: This is actually by design, I cut the lug width .5mm wider than the watch clearance to allow for the compression of the strap over time. If I cut each strap exactly the right width it will compress, “shrink”, and leave a small gap between the lugs and the strap, which drives me crazy. Gently pinch the leather at the end of the strap to fit in between the lugs and set your pin/screw. In time it will fit perfectly.

Q: How do your straps hold up over time?
A: Leather will change in color and condition, however construction and quality should never be an issue. If there is any problem at all, EVER, simply send me an email I will take care of it.

Q: What happens if I get my strap wet?
A: Getting your strap wet occasionally will not be a problem at all. The leather may darken slightly, however it will not affect the glue or stitching what so ever. Over exposure or daily showering should be avoided however. Leather is a natural product and will be susceptible to moisture and sweat over time and should be replaced when wear becomes visible.

Q: Are your straps machine sewn?
A: I sew by hand using a true saddle stitch. Each strap is literally hand stitched using two needles attached to one piece of waxed thread. Each stitch is made by crossing each needle from front to back, through the same hole, starting at one end of the strap and finishing at the other end.
